Both countries are working closer on the economic sector with many Brazilian brand and companies eyes Malaysian market. In 2012, a Brazilian companies has started a total of U$6 billion investments in Malaysia. Brazil mining company Vale also has started construction of an iron ore transfer centre in Malaysia. Beside that, Brazil also one of the biggest arms seller and one of the exporter of sugar and beef to Malaysia. While in Brazil, Malaysian oil company Petronas has sign deal with OGX. Both countries also in the process in join ventures to develop biofuel and Malaysia is currently seeks to help Brazil in broadband plan expanding.
